The app facilitates the disbursement of social welfare funds to beneficiaries. It streamlines payment processing, ensures accurate record-keeping, and supports Pay Point Managers in delivering funds efficiently and transparently.

CrystalisedApps partnered with the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services to digitise Zambia’s Social Cash Transfer payments. The project introduced a real-time payment platform, electronic receipts, and on-site training for Pay Point Managers. The result was faster, more transparent, and fully auditable disbursements, marking a major step in modernising social protection in Zambia.

Manual disbursement of social welfare funds was slow, prone to errors, and lacked transparency—leading to delays, lost records, and reduced accountability. The app was designed to solve these issues by digitising the process and ensuring secure, real-time, and traceable payments to beneficiaries.
#3. solution.
End-to-End Digital Payment System: Crystalised Apps designed and deployed a customised digital platform, to enable real-time processing of SCT payments.
Training and Support: Pay Point Managers received hands-on training to ensure smooth adoption and operation of the system.
Operational Oversight: CrystalisedApps offered on-site technical support, managed logistics, and ensured strict compliance with Ministry guidelines throughout the disbursement cycle.
#4. outcome.
SCT payments were delivered securely and efficiently via the new digital platform, with real-time tracking, full auditability, and zero instances of lost or delayed funds. Over 70,000 beneficiaries across 4 districts received disbursements seamlessly through this system. This successful rollout marks a significant milestone in the modernisation of Zambia’s social protection disbursement framework.
